It’s almost that time, to wish adieu to 2012 and usher in a new year which has inspired me to redecorate and re-envision my bedroom. I realized rather than seeing it as just a place to crash after a long day, I want it to be a space that’s relaxed and and fresh; a place that supports my creative pursuits. Here’s what I’ve been sourcing for ideas (in addition to pinterest, which I LOVE).
HGTV’s Secrets from a Stylist tv show featuring Emily Henderson. Thanks to my friend, Kristina, I’m hooked on this show (click for full episodes or clips). I love that she shares tips and secrets to her layering technique of multiple styles in one space. Watch it and you’ll know what I mean. She’s a decorating diva (in the best possible sense).
DesignSponge at Home is chock full of decorating ideas, projects, and features, similar to the famous blog. I think this makes a great bridal shower gift/housewarming gift too. Look below for a peek inside.
Last but not least, the sights of Paris and Moorish temples in Spain have influenced the kinds of textile prints that I’m drawn to. I picked up this rug at Marshalls recently and only after bringing it home did I realize it reminds me of the Moorish tile designs.
